Nov 1, 2011 - My workout instructor has me doing these and I hate them but I think its a great whole body exercise. At the end of about 90 seconds feels like my heart is coming out of my throat. It's one tough exercise. Great video.

Feb 19, 2011 - @kbellqueen Is it ok to wear a excercise belt to protect my back when performing a kettlebell swing or do you not recommend it?

Feb 11, 2011 - Great video, kbellqueen. I can't afford a kettlebell right now. I do have some solid metal dumbbells, though. Is it okay to start off with these for the kettle swing?

Feb 11, 2011 - I see you demonstrate the Russian-style swing here. What is your opinion of the American-style swing (full overhead) and do you ever train those?

npr386 Says:

Feb 9, 2011 - Thanks for the tips. How effective is this exercise in strengthening the lower back? I'm thinking of supplementing deadlifts with these.

Astabeth Says:

Feb 4, 2011 - This is the most helpful kettlebell demo I have seen. Comments like where I should feel the stretch, what muscles to tighten, and "drive your heels into the floor" really help me make sure I am doing it right. Also, the "how not to do it" was very helpful, as well.

kbellqueen Says:

Jan 19, 2011 - @DubQWST No you do not need to lock out your elbows. Soft on the way back, then nice and straight at the top. The swing has evolved a bit since I filmed this 2 years ago. The correct way now is to straighten out the arms, but no need to actually lock them.

kbellqueen Says:

Jan 19, 2011 - @brendagia73 I'm using Dragon Door

Oct 15, 2010 - I'm confused on the hip snap....does it mean just to tighten up your glutes?

Aug 5, 2010 - I've just picked up some kettlebells as I've heard their the bees knees Thanks for showing the difference, between a good swing and an incorrect one. I think I was doing a mixture of both the bad examples XD
